KAGUMO AT THE 2019 KENYA NATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVALS

Kagumo College is a place where students’ talents are nurtured. We not only excel in studies but also in co-curricular activities. As a result of this, Kagumo took part in the 93rd Kenya Music Festival where we performed very well.

In class 1319- French Choral verse we were 1st scoring 88% and taking the trophy home for the second year running. We took 1st position in the German Choral verse class 1419 with a score of 89%. The College was ranked 2nd in class 428 – National Anthem at a score of 89% and  2nd position  as well in class 460- Special Composition. The college by way of summary had three items ranked position 1, seven items ranked position 2 and two items ranked position three. This is no mean feat and we wish to thank our lecturers for making it happen.

Events such as this have enabled us to produce the best teachers who are well versed with issues outside the classroom setting.

The Kagumo fraternity is a family that works together for the common good of both the individual and the team. Through this teamwork, we have been able to reach higher and perform wonderfully in the festivals. It is our hope that even in the future, students will learn to be more integrated individuals in the society through the music festivals. To be individuals who understand the diversities in the country and appreciate all tribes and their cultures.
